Sierra Detention Systems is pleased to welcome Ron Green as Western Regional Manager, strengthening the company’s leadership and customer support across the Western Region.
Green brings more than a decade of experience in the detention industry to the role. His background includes detention equipment, security electronics, CCTV and surveillance, access control, system integration, service, and business development. He has also worked directly with correctional facilities on procurement, planning, and long-term system needs.

In his new role, Green will build relationships with correctional facilities and help customers address their immediate needs while planning for longer-term challenges.
This begins with understanding each facility’s current systems, the challenges its operators face, and what it may need in the future. Green will help develop solutions that fit the facility, its staff, its budget, and its existing infrastructure.
Green’s approach is especially relevant as many correctional facilities in the region rely on cameras, control systems, detention locks, doors, and other equipment installed 10, 15, or even 20 years ago. Staffing shortages can make these systems harder to maintain. Sierra can evaluate the existing equipment, identify what needs attention first, and create a phased plan for maintenance, upgrades, and future replacement.
Green will also help customers learn more about Sierra’s full range of services, including detention equipment, CCTV, access control, security electronics, system integration, electrical work, service, and preventive maintenance.
Sierra also recently received Southern Folger DEC approval. The approval expands Sierra’s ability to support facilities that use Southern Folger detention equipment with trained personnel and manufacturer-informed maintenance practices.
One of Green’s priorities will be expanding Sierra’s service and preventive maintenance work throughout the region. A failed camera, door, lock, or control system can create serious operational and safety concerns in a correctional facility. Sierra will continue providing knowledgeable, responsive support before and after installation.
Green wants correctional facilities to see Sierra as a long-term resource for assessments, planning, installation, maintenance, repairs, and future upgrades.
His approach begins by asking where a facility is today, where it needs to go, and what it will take to get there.
As Western Regional Manager, Green will help customers evaluate their current systems and determine the best next steps.
